Donovan Moore has been actively involved in all facets of creative marketing for most of his life. He is a graduate of The University of Southern California (USC) school of Business and has an extensive and successful background in public relations, artist management, direct response marketing and retail management.
He originally began his career in political public relations while working on the the campaign for mayor in Los Angeles, CA. He soon was doing publicly in the entertainment industry before becoming a personal manager for several Los Angeles based rock bands. He was the manager for the groundbreaking band Stryper that would go on to sell more than 10 million records worldwide.
After his stint in personal management, he went to work for WCA, a west coast talent agency known for it’s representation of artists and speakers such as Pat and Debby Boone, Art Linkletter, and Dale Evans. While at WCA, Donovan transformed the agency by signing numerous artists in a new genre that would later become known as contemporary Christian music. He expanded it’s roster to include best selling authors, musical artists, TV personalities and celebrities including John Delorean, Dion, Chuck Woolery, Rosey Grier, and Meadowlark Lemon. By the time he left WCA, it was the largest Christian talent agency in the country.
After getting married, he relocated to the midwest and the state of Illinois, where he started his own firm. His new agency represented corporate speakers and celebrities primarily for nonprofit and corporate events.
He then went on to start a wholesale golf products catalog business and soon expanded it into chain of 5 brick and mortar stores in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. An avid pilot, he currently flies his own airplane between residences in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Most recently, he has devoted his time to nonprofit causes. His latest project is the online aggregated news site, spiritnewsdaily.com. He is also ceo of dmipr.com, a social media marketing and consulting company.
